During a Ceremony Held at the Fairmont Ajman

His Excellency Abdulrahman Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Municipality and Planning Department in Ajman, during a celebration organized by the Department at the Fairmont Hotel in Ajman, honored initiative taking units and employees  who submitted proposals using the suggestions and complaints system. The event sought to show appreciation for their excellent efforts in making valuable suggestions during 2017 that contributed to developing the Department’s services and increasing its competitiveness in the region. Their suggestions have also helped the Department on its journey toward achieving institutional excellence, and becoming a leader in services and employee motivation on a global level.

During this honoring ceremony, His Excellency emphasized that the ceremony to recognize those who excelled in using the updated suggestions system was made possible by the guidance and support of the Department’s leadership and its vision for the future. This vision seeks to support innovators and initiative takers who make social and professional suggestions that can help develop the Department’s plans and strategies. Employees who made such contributions were honored in front of their peers and superiors. 

He added: “Motivating the Department’s employees is the key to our success and our objective to improve our performance. By supporting social initiative takers and innovators, the Department’s higher management headed by His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, the Department’s Chairman, shows its commitment to incentivizing and supporting initiative takers who show professional competence and innovation. This highlights the Department’s efforts to update its social plans and services and improve its institutional performance in line with the country’s federal strategy and the national establishment’s objective of promoting happiness among employees. These efforts correspond with the country’s ambitions to reinforce the performance of its citizens and propel them forward toward civilizational progress and global leadership.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Rashid Ahmed bin Hashim, Director of the Corporate Marketing & Relations Administration introduced the principles and criteria used to choose the honored employees. He stated that the ceremony reflects the importance the leadership gives to these individuals’ roles in achieving the Department’s goals, vision, mission and strategic objectives. 

He gave an electronic presentation of the updates made to the CRM suggestions system, and thanked the Smart Services Development Administration for its efforts in updating the system to better serve the Department and streamline the way customers could provide suggestions through the website. He noted that this year’s honorees were divided into different categories: the administration with the highest number of initiative taking employees, the administration with the highest number of implemented suggestions, the administration with the highest number of suggestions, and the administration that responded best to the system and the black points mechanism. The Suggestions Unit that oversees the system and the administrations’ different coordinators were also honored.

 At the end of the ceremony, the Director General distributed honorary certificates and shields according to category to the honored employees in the presence of Engineer Nora Shattaf, Chief Executive Officer of Customer Happiness Center Sector, and a number of senior officers and initiative taking employees. He noted that motivation and competitiveness among employees and community members helps develop services and improve their quality, and that the suggestions provided played a positive role in reinforcing the Department’s standing on various levels.
