The Department of Ajman Municipality and Planning implemented a maintenance project for the façade of the Department's main building in the center of the city of Ajman
The management of buildings in the Engineering sector of Ajman Municipality and Planning, implemented the maintenance project for the façade of the building of the Department which is located in downtown St. Masfout Ajman, according to the finest international standards for government buildings and in line with the development of civilization and urbanization witnessed in the Emirate.
The project includes: building maintenance of the main building of the Department and its facade, the work of comprehensive maintenance of the entrances and exits and the addition of doors for emergency escape and security and safety as a precaution to emergency situations if they arise, God forbid.
Engineer Khalifa Al Falasi, manager of Buildings in the Engineering Sector of the Department mentioned that under the guidance of Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, head of the Department, and as the translation of the vision, mission and objectives of the Department which requires the development of facilities and marketing Department and attract investors to the Emirate and the convenience of reviewers, and simplify procedures in the completion of the transactions to partners and customers with the Department and service centers .
He pointed out that the construction work was based on the (methodology of property) approved by the building management in its carried out plans and projects, pointing out that with the completion of the project it has been re-divided into staff offices within the Building Department's headquarters. It provided the appropriate place and appropriate staff, as office space for each employee and by his position. He added that exits and extinguishers were added for emergencies, according to the requirements of the Department of Environment, Safety and Occupational Health Iso 14001-18001, and guidance for the exits to escape, and as the Department seeks to provide in their facilities in the event of an accident, God forbid, as well as it has modified the specifications of the main building of the Department so that it becomes in line with the objectives of the Department to maintain the its features.
The walls were isolated and the windows were fitted with double glazing to save energy and in line with the rationalization of expenditures in the long run. As well as the provision of parking for the disabled and the entrances of their own (the slopes at the entrances and exits), and the provision of additional toilets for the staff and customers and maintaining old toilets commensurate with the need of the Department to its implementation of the maintenance project for the façade of the Building Department, which started in mid-year. It is expected to be completed in 09/30/2011.
Engineer Al-Falasi mentioned that the future work of the project is to do extra work (for the Tawasul building and building of Economic Licensing), and the adoption of the architectural character of all buildings in the Department (Manama building- Economic Licensing building).
