Service description
It is a request for releasing provided that the goods from which samples are to be taken for laboratory testing shall not be at any disposition. The Health Inspectors should receive the undertaking letter from the concerned company till the Health Department takes a decision.

The place for submitting the application
Department: Public Health department
Section : Food control section
Fees : A financial guarantee estimated by the Head of Health Department should be paid.

Procedures of application

  • The following documents should be presented to Health Department:
    • Custom statement
    • Certificate of origin and Health.
    • Invoice
  • Receiving the bill of financial guarantee and paying the prescribed fees at Municipality Treasury.
  • Delivering a copy of the financial guarantee document to the Health Department.
  • Submitting a written undertaking by the trader confirming that the consignment will not be handled until all the procedures are finished.
  • Submitting the Written Undertaking to the Port Department
  • On finalizing the procedures, the trader should refer to the Heath Department to claim the value of the financial guarantee by drafting a letter to the Financial Department at Municipality.
