Service description This service is presented to the companies deal with importing the foodstuff across Ajman port, and interesting in transferring them to the concerned Municipality of the Emirate.
The place for submitting the application Department: Public Health department Section : Food control section Fees : Paying a financial guarantee estimated by the Head of Health Department, as per the value and the quantity of the consignment starting from AED 5000/- and not more than AED 50,000/-.
Procedures of application
- The company should present a letter to the Health Department explaining the interest in transferring the consignment to the concerned Municipality.
- Examining the consignment by The Municipality Inspectors and issuing a report to the Health department.
- The Inspection Report and The Transfer Request should be given to the company after listing all the data of the consignment and the name of the imported company. The report should be signed by the concerned Inspector and approved by the Head of Health Department. All the consignment’s supporting documents should be enclosed (i.e. Health Certificate, Certificate of Origin, and list of brands).
- The consignment should be released and transferred to the other Municipality.
- The financial guarantee should be claimed after getting a letter “of receiving the whole consignment” from the other Municipality and taking the required procedures (i.e. issuing a letter to Financial Department at Municipality).
